The artwork and dielines of the main box and foam insert, created in Adobe Illustrator and ArtiosCAD.
Living Scents is a brand of succulent-shaped candles nestled in a terrarium-shaped box. The main package, as well as the graphics on it, were created from scratch. The foam insert was created from a standard within ArtiosCAD.
The logic: The package must safely hold a candle, so I included a foam insert for protection. The box itself is glued together with a glue flap to secure the sides of the package and keep them from falling apart. I used ArtiosCAD to create the dieline of the box. I also used it to create the mockup of the package pictured above. Finally, the graphics of the package were created in Adobe Illustrator and then mapped onto the dieline.
The design: Terrariums are essentially indoor gardens inside a sealable container, usually made of glass. Because succulents are a popular plant for terrariums, I knew that I wanted the shape of the package to resemble a terrarium. I used earth tones to mimic the natural colors of succulents, but I utilized pastel tones to add a regal aspect to the package. The pattern of succulents around the package is foil-stamped onto the box with gold foil.
